Marriages and Issue 1

Oxenbridge married Alice Fogge, widow of Edward Scott (son of Sir William Scott), and daughter and co-heiress of Sir Thomas Fogge of Ash, Kent, sergeant porter of Calais during the reigns of Henry VII and Henry VIII, by whom he had a son and two daughters. Their son, also named Robert, married Elizabeth Cocke, though some sources claim that it is Robert Oxenbridge snr who married her. As the latter predeceased his wife Alice, this is obviously incorrect.

Are mixed marriages inconsiderate if you plan to have children?

Well thanks for sharing. You might want to consider NOT thinking so much. It's really not attractive, not fun, and has nothing to do with life. I would sooner put a bullet in my head than marry you. Live life dude & enjoy it because it's not around all that long & money & possessions can not change that. EDIT: Thanks but I wo not need your handout anytime soon. My husband is fabulous & we do not rely on mathematical equations to run our lives. Run with that & see where it takes you. Best of luck because you will need it.

Do Korean women in international marriages change their surnames?

Good question. I would like to say that is varies with the individual. But I haven't observed more than one outcome. Legally according to U.S. law and most Western countries, the woman's surname corresponds to the marriage certificate which now probably includes her husband's last name. It's pretty important to use your legal name especially if you need a visa, passport, driver's license, military dependent ID, etc. However, according to Korean law the wife keeps her surname but moves her family registry over to her husband's family-which if her husband is not Korean...the family registry doesn't exist. What generally happens is that she uses her husband's last name when dealing with non-Koreans and her Korean surname when dealing with other Koreans. I mean it just doesn't sound right in Korean to use your Korean given name and middle name with a foreign surname. I have seen it this way so many times with my wife, all of her friends, and some women I dated before I got married. It's just the way most Koreans feel comfortable.

Society rules for marriages and love on multigeneration ship

I do not think there is a problem. Through most of mankind's history we lived in much smaller communities. The typical hunter/gatherer tribe is 150 people, and they may meet with up to 10 or 20 other tribes to exchange marriage partners giving a total community size of no more than 3000. In fact until the 19 century 20000 people would be a large city. So let people marry as they please. If you are still worried about genetic variety you could have the sperm/ova bank mentioned earlier, and encourage each couple to have one child from there. That should give plenty of genetic variety without getting heavy handed about it

how do army marriages work?

You do not have a set in stone answer, because in the Army, there is no absolutes. your life rotates around the needs of the Army and you as his dependent are secondary. The best I can tell you is to have him ask about the projected date of his "graduation", what unit he will be assigned to and then what deployment rotation his unit is on. You can almost guarantee that he will be deployed overseas without you for at least one year of his enlistment. Depending upon when that deployment date is, you can expect that at least 2-3 months before he actually leaves, he will probably be involved in frequent short TDY assignments that will take him to training in the field or in another state. One of his cadre should be able to tell him when his basic class will be put on block leave which is usually a few days to a week, before going to his first assignment

I want to spice up things. We've done so much I fear there is nothing left to try.?

If you are not even married and you have to spice things up, perhaps you should not be getting married. That's a major problem, and marriages have ended over less. My suggestion is to not get married, and to see other people. I bet the sex wo not be boring anymore when it's with someone else.
