Wang Yongbin then added: "another trend we found is that after continuing the LED ball gun and tube series, LED lamps will begin to become the mainstream demand in the next year." Therefore, in the next year, NXP and other LED semiconductor solution providers will focus on the non dimming and high-power lamp market, because the growth potential in Asia is huge.

In addition to the above trends, Wang Yongbin also revealed that at present, lighting manufacturers have high requirements for power factors, because many countries, including China, especially require the FP of some lighting to be greater than 0.9, and will subsidize up to standard products. "For example, in the bidding of China's energy-saving and people-friendly projects, two points will be added for products with FP greater than 0.9, and the Chinese government will give supplementary posts. In addition, it is also required in the European energy star that when the power is greater than 25W, the FP must be greater than 0.9." He pointed out that in the schemes of some IC manufacturers, the realization of high-power factors needs to be controlled from the outside, which will increase the cost, while NXP can be realized from within the chip, which is not only convenient for design, but also reduces the cost. "For example, the ssl2109a controller can realize FP greater than 0.9, less peripherals and simple and convenient design due to the use of special circuits." he cited an example.

It is also aimed at another product series ssl21081 (a) / 83 (a) of non dimming integrated high-voltage MOSFET, with high integration, less peripheral components, only 14 required, and lower overall cost. For the high-power LED lamp market that will become the mainstream in the next year, NXP launched ssl4120 in Hong Kong this time, which is an integrated success rate factor correction (PFC) GreenChip? For the confrontation between single-stage and two-stage LED driver architectures in the current market, Wang Yongbin said that NXP is the defender of single-stage architecture. The main reasons are as follows: first, NXP has long-term accumulation and advantages in single-stage; second, single-stage controller can integrate high-voltage MOSFET; third, single-stage is easy to use and easy to design, and customers can develop successfully in only two weeks; fourth, single-stage is successful at present This advantage, two-level BOM is about 10-15% more expensive than single-level BOM.

Finally, when it comes to the trend of some lamp manufacturers to do vertical integration, R & D and drive IC / components, Wang Yongbin believes that this is only a temporary phenomenon and will not become the mainstream. "It is still difficult for companies making lamps to do the electronic part. In the future, they will still specialize in the division of labor, and the driving part will be independent." he personally believes.
